Course Introduction

Lego Six Bricks was originated in South Africa. It focuses on the development of the whole individual as well as the team. Through hands-on participation, children may learn to interact with each other and to deal with their emotions. Through “game-based learning”, it helps develop large and small motor movements, cognition, memory, language, concentration, problem solving, creative social skills, mathematics skills, and other activities. It can be widely used in different activities involving young school children, teenagers, adult training (Team Building) and elderly services. The instructor for this training is a South African Care For Education (CFE) certified facilitator who is authorized to offer Level 1 & Level 2 courses.

Course content

• Introduction to the background of Six Bricks and the learning elements behind it
• Foundation of the theory of Six Bricks
• Five skills application methods
• South Africa CFE designated Level 1 and Level 2 Six Bricks activities
• Application sharing for different audiences (children / primary and secondary school students / businesses / elderlies / churches)

Class location: (to be determined)

• Introductory background and learning elements – development framework and theoretical foundation
• CFE-designated Level 1 & 2 activity experience
• Sharing of event organizing and design
• Sharing of tutor’s experience
